Lo Wen Yu is a Registered Patent Agent in Singapore since 2006. She has handled inventions and patents involving electrical, electronics and computer systems since 2000. Her areas of expertise include:

• Drafting specifications for patent applications;
  
  
• Prosecuting patent applications through grant;
  
  
• Advising on patentability of inventions and filing strategies;
  
  
• Conducting patent searches and advising on search results; and
  
  
• Managing patent portfolios, including invention harvesting & managing patenting activities in various countries.

She also has experience in patent protection and management in a multinational corporation as an in-house associate and in a leading law firm as a practitioner. Examples of the technical areas of her patent drafting and prosecution experience include computer hardware and storage, software applications, personal digital assistants (PDA) technologies, printers, digital scanning, hard disk technologies and semiconductor manufacturing processes, communication systems, and marine and offshore technologies.

Wen Yu graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) (Hons). She completed a Graduate Certificate course in Intellectual Property Law in 2001. In 2004, she graduated with a degree in Master of Intellectual Property from Franklin Pierce Law Center, USA. She is a member of the Examination Committee which is appointed to set and mark qualifying examination papers for the Singapore Patent Agents Qualifying Examination.  She is also a member of the Association of Singapore Patent Agents.
